  • Graduate Fashion Show Sint-Niklaas 2012

It's almost graduate fashion-show season and the first one I'd recommend takes place on 2nd June, in my home town Sint-Niklaas!  From 7pm onwards, the city's brand new events-hall 't Bau-huis opens its doors for visitors and press, to attend the Shoe Design show at 8pm and the Fashion Design show at 9pm.  Tickets cost 12 EUR in advance and 15 EUR at the door. Join the event on Facebook!

  • Yuima Nakazato at Tokyo Fashion Week

At the current rate of won awards and remarkable collaborations, the future's bright for Yuima Nakazato. The self-taught Japanese designer - who decided to enroll at the Royal Academy in Antwerp after all - has a great affinity with creatives such as Matthew Stone and musical artists - Lady Gaga and the Black Eyed Peas' Fergie, among the biggest names he has created stage costumes for.

  • Customisez Moi 6 calls for entries!

For the sixth time, Customisez Moi launches a call for entries for all those creatives who have a knack for customizing garments. A professional jury, among whom Nica Broucke and Béa Ercolini of the Flemish and Wallon editions of Elle are seated next to the founders of Hunting and Collecting and Café Costume, will decide at the runway show in November whose catwalk-collection of ten garments that have been given a new fashionable lease of life is worthy of the main prize.

  • Coming Soon: Tim Coppens on LN-CC

Tim Coppens' name is steadily growing on the fashion scene. After stints at Adidas and Ralph Lauren, the Belgian menswear designer decided to follow his own path with an eponymous label - and to great success: since his first collection in 2011, his label can be found on the rails of Barneys New York and Dover Street Market in London.

  • On the road with Café Costume

It might be simply a coincidence, but Café Costume's summer collection seems to have been inspired by just those things that British men's fashion bible AnOther Man has taken as the starting point for their latest issue: the art of traveling in elegance from the perspective of a true gentleman.

  • Antwerp Management School launches "Artists in Residence"

Because creatives tend to match their talent for originality to their management style, the Antwerp Management School invites two "Artists in Residence" for the 2012-2013 academic year, who will share their fresh outlook on running a business in an eMBA-program.

Belgium does not (yet) have its own, real fashion week, so think tank addictlab.com made a virtual version of BFW. For one week, fashion designers will show their collection on the digital catwalk on fashionweek.be. On 4 Octobre, it will be up to Clive Rundle to wow visitors.
