FFI launches crowdfunding initiative with Sonic Angel

In the Belgian music industry, SonicAngel pioneered crowdfunding. The technology company backed by artist Maurice Engelen and ex-Skynet-boss Bart Becks, helps musicians and directors to raise the funds to start up, and has already succeeded in their mission for 20 bands.
Flanders Fashion Institute saw the potential of this principle and plans to introduce this businessmodel to the Belgian fashion industry as well. Under the moniker 'FashionAngel' SonicAngel and FFI join forces to provide the tools for crowdfunding to budding fashion desigers. After a selection procedure, desigers will be able to present their work - in 3D and in six sizes - to the public, who in turn can buy stocks. When sufficient funds have been reached, the designer will be able to establish their own label or produce a collection, independently.
